This is turning into a very nice thing to do... 2006 will be the third year that a bunch of us Hillside Campers get together, collect ton's of donations (T-Lights, glass votives) and set these up all along the pathway of the Memorial Garden...

It's a beautiful site at Sundown until very late at night when the Garden just glows from all of the candle light...

WONDERFUL PICTURE for a terrific tradition at Hillside Campgrounds. The Memorial Garden is a tribute to all. It's a good reason to pause and reflect on all the people who have done so much to make this world a better place. Hopefully it will be a permanent reminder that something special has happened in the Pennsylvania mountains. Thanks Manwood for beginning this tradition!

Our 2006 lighting of the garden turned out pretty decent thanks to all of the Hillsiders who came out to set it all up and then light it all up. We put out over 1,200 t-lights, and another 100 candles of varying sizes - - - all of which were donated.

This is turning into a nice prelude to the Illumination of Camp on Saturday night - - - doing this on Friday night gives everyone a taste of what the weekend is about...
